Art of Palmerology
Being the private singer-songwriter, Darius went public with his music in the year 2006. Palmer is extremely thankful for his accomplishments so far. Dp was an Effigy Award finalist for Best Artist in Style - R&B. Singles from his first released R&B/Pop album FEVER gave him notoriety on the air. The hot single Whatcha Think was featured on the 24/7 R&B/Hip-Hop radio station, Royal Radio. Another amazing track And I'm Not was released to Royal Radio, and the fans tuned in as this single quickly climbed the top 10 chart becoming the No. 1 most requested song. At the request of other radio stations, Darius submitted more songs from this disc also. As Palmer continued with his musical journey, he worked with producer Joey Arreguin and completed a 3-song demo CD featuring guest musicians Del Atkins (credits: Dr. Dre and DJ Quik) and Ricky Z (credits: Jessica Simpson). Palmer also worked with choreographer David "Darkie" Simmons (credits: Kirk Franklin) as he prepared for the "814" concert. Inspired by various music artist and after meeting the legendary Stevie Wonder, Palmer continues to diligently work on music projects. Realizing talent always wins the test of time, Dp believes in making the best music. "Creating music on a personal note...not sugarcoating things...expressing yourself through your music...that's music at it's best," Palmer says.
