Determined to be the best, DarBy is breaking into the country music scene with her first CD, self-titled DarBy Haas. Born December 27th, 1983, and raised in Hawesville, Kentucky, this shy, bashful little girl got her first feel of being on stage at a local county festival. DarBy grew up listening to Reba McIntire, Ronnie Milsap, Faith Hill and Bon Jovi. It was rock and roll on the radio and country music on the weekends at the local Opry. Both musical influences can be heard in her music as she incorporates different styles to create a story in each song she sings. DarBy gives heart and soul when she entertains, bringing everyone who listens into the core of her music. DarBy's school years were filled with friends, volleyball, cross country running and singing. After graduating high school, she went on to Murray State University, obtaining her Bachelors in Communication Disorders. She then completed her Masters Degree in Exceptional Education at Western Kentucky University. While in college, DarBy often traveled to Nashville to increase her knowledge of the music business. During this time frame, she finished an internship with Billy Block while studying voice with Anna Maria Franzella. In 2007, DarBy's music journey pointed her in the direction of training with Judy Rodman, the founder of the technique Power, Path and Performance. DarBy began her working music career in world famous Printer's Alley, and has since performed on stages around Nashville such as The Wildhorse Saloon, Tootsies, Second Fiddle, The Stage, and others. Now an exceptional needs teacher in Franklin, Kentucky, DarBy continues to pursue her love of music. To the delight of her students, she often uses music in her classroom curriculum. She also volunteers to help with local talent shows to encourage all students to explore the joys of music. As you listen to DarBy's first CD, you will discover that each songs has a different feel, each a reflection of DarBy's unique combination of personality traits and talent.
