How Great Thou Art/ Plus Nine Originals
How Great Thou Art / Plus Nine Originals is a country flavored southern gospel album with Danny Mote doing 'How Great Thou Art' in his own style. He has done this song at many churches, funerals and shows for many years. Many times he has request to close his shows and even dances with this great song, with everyone standing to their feet. The other nine songs following were all written by Danny Mote. The second song, 'Thank You Jesus' written by Danny was inspired by many worship services where thanks was given to Jesus. The style was originated from Danny's rockabilly release 'Done You Wrong' in 1961. Danny feels all songs on this album were inspired by God. The last song is a true story and testimonial of Danny's Life. The title was inspired by what Brother Jack Hollis, said in church said when he got up to lead a song.' Lord You've Beem So Good To Me'. Danny knew this had to be a song, and he wrote it right away. The other songs, 'Jesus My Lord' 'He's Preparing My New Home', 'Born Again', 'Come On Holy Spirit', 'Rock Of Salvation', 'Country Church', and the first gospel song Danny wrote, A New Life For Jesus' were all inspired by God. Danny, a Rockabilly Hall of Fame Legend, plays piano, guitar, and tenor sax on these recordings. Other musisians include Bud Mote on Fiddle, Nick Gilliam on Bass, and Troy Crumpton on Drums. Back up voices was done by Larry Taylor, His wife and family members. These recordings are a collection of songs released before on earlier CD's By Danny Mote.
