Tattoos & Wives
Please allow us to introduce the Alabama native and man that stands firm on his musical convictions and the fabric that made Nashville Country Music..... Mr. Dakota Jennings!!! Dakota Jennings was surrounded by all kinds of music from an early age. Learning to play the guitar at the knee of his father, he was heavily influenced by honky-tonk and old-school outlaw country. At the age of twelve, he worked at a mom-and-pop filling station to buy his first guitar. After graduating high school, Dakota Jennings joined the military and shipped out to California. He spent the next few years playing local clubs and jamming with other talented musicians. It was during this period that Dakota Jennings honed his talents, broke a few hearts, and even shared a drink and swapped a few guitar licks with one of his Outlaw Heros at Lake Shasta in Redding, California. Many of the stories from this time can be heard in his music today. Dakota Jennings recently moved back home after being gone twenty years serving in Operation Desert Storm during his military stint, acquiring a Law Degree, and retiring from a Law Enforcement career in Solano County California. Dakota Jennings returned to his country roots in an effort to refine his songs for a Nashville Music Career. Dakota Jennings, now covered in ink, a California divorce behind him, and a new life with defining direction swears by his song and uncompromising not open for debate motto..... Tattoos and Wives. This motto will be found on every album recorded as a reminder to everyone that you can survive hard times when you put your mind to it!!! In his spare time, Dakota Jennings enjoys riding his custom Chopper to various bike-nite venues, getting tattoos, and picking guitar with his friends and band mates. A true baritone bass vocalist with a range from compassionate ballads to hard core outlaw country makes Dakota Jennings a unique voice in todays Nashville Country Music scene. Dakota Jennings' thoughts on the issue..... Some people consider me an uncompromising artist when it comes to my music. I have never been partial to music by committee and I'm not afraid to take a stand. I have had offers from a few labels yet refused to sign because they wanted me to sing songs that I didn't want to sing. I learned how to take a punch a long time ago and you have to take a lot of em' in the music business. If you like my music then your the one I came to play for. Every Artist has a story. My story has been told through the lyrical message of my songs. I have shared my past experiences, heartaches, and truth with the peolpe and fans. If this project saves one marriage, gives one individual the strength to face a demon and overcome, or otherwise redirects the path of a person for a better value of life then my long nights, hard work, and sacrifice prevailed. Thank you for allowing me to open my heart, soul search, and share a part of me with you. Keepin it real... Outlaw Nation - Outlaw Strong.
