It's hard to believe that it was only a few years ago that Craig Wilson moved from his small town, midwest roots and started hitting the New York music scene. 'He sings songs about MY life...' 'Great lyrics and great audience connection!' is just some of the feedback Craig's many fans have bestowed upon him. With his unique blend of catchy pop/rock hooks and insightful lyrics he has earned comparisons to Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and John Mayer. Craig Wilson is an independent artist who is making things happen. He's a participating member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The Grammy People), and the performing rights organization BMI. He has been featured in BMI's Acoustic Roundup songwriter showcase, and The Songwriters Hall of Fame showcase, in which he continues to be a voting member. While these achievements have certainly not gone unnoticed within the music industry, Craig is most proud of his intoxicating live shows. He has played in legendary New York venues such as The Bitter End, and CBGB's. He has also toured the midwest extensively, playing everywhere from Club 500 in Detroit, to various car shows like the Woodward Dream Cruise (which draws crowds in excess of 1 million people!) Whether performing alongside major pop stars such as Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees, or playing in a small club or coffee house, Craig's straightforward, heart-touching performances are small town spirit wrapped in big city talent.
