Christ in Me
Craig Stuke is almost always working on a music project. He started performing music at the age of ten. He made his first recordings on a reel to reel tape machine with three recording heads. On those type of recorders, you could listen to what you recorded on the left or right track while singing or playing along with it and adding it all to the other side. This process of recording and re-recording as many times as you wanted was great fun. The best sounding and clearest recordings were, as you might guess, the very last ones you made. He usually wanted his vocal melody to be the best and last track made. That meant that he would have to play the music and sing harmony parts first, only imagining or 'hearing in his mind' the melody line which would be recorded last. Things have changed a lot in the recording business. Whole albums are being done with not much more than a lap-top computer, microphone and interface and some instruments. One thing has not changed however, and that is the message Craig wants to communicate in his music. He was converted to Christ several years ago. His life changed when He understood that he was as lost as lost could be, but that he could start over with a new relationship guiding him. It was not easy, (in fact, it was really hard) but with God's help and putting one step in front of the next each day, his life turned around and he gives God the glory and the credit for it all. Craig's songs reflect the relationship that he has with Jesus Christ. And he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, because in it is the power to save.
