Originally trained as a classical musician, studying at the San Francisco Conservatory and playing with the San Francisco Youth Orchestra, Courtney Browne made the transition from cello and piano to guitar at age 18. At 24, armed with eighteen years of musical experience, Browne's talent as a singer / songwriter is unmistakable. Her wide range, soulful voice, and haunting lyrics show a maturity and skill undeniable to anyone listening. Live, Browne not only enraptures an audience with her music, but also engages the audience with her wit and self-deprecating manner. Browne's first full-length album, Hollywood Lie was released in January of 2006.
