One of the great masters of old-style country music who performed from the early 1930s until he retired in 2006 - a career of over 70 years!! Much loved flagship star of the famous WWVA Wheeling Jamboree in West Virginia. 28 tracks spanning 1947-1960, all digitally remastered, few previously released on CD, some never released since the original 78 rpm singles. Features many of his most popular songs including "My Old Brown Coat", "The Man In The Moon", "Roses Are Blooming", "Little Box Of Pine" and "Fiddler Joe". Vocal versions of such classics as "Silver Bell", "Red Wing" and "Merry Maiden Polka", most commonly heard as instrumentals.
