Collectors return with their new EP 'Travelogue', the first since the debut EP 'Reverberation' in 2004. If 'Reverberation' marked a beginning, then 'Travelogue' marks a band confidently hitting it's stride. Recorded and mixed in early 2006 at Million Yen Studios in Chicago, 'Travelogue' finds the band showcasing broad sonic textures, ear-pleasing psychedelic tinged pop sensibilities, tight hooks and strong arrangements that evoke the best sounds of UK rock over the years. Remarkable sounds ranging from the 60s British Invasion to early 90s shoegazer and Madchester to classic Britpop to the modern era - all of which never sound dated. Lyrically the release encompasses bitterweet themes of loss - the loss of time, opportunities and people that are most important in one's life. But listen closer and one will hear a sense of hope and redemption that permeates 'Travelogue' like a perfect day.
