Christine Arens's second recording, 'Silhouette Of Silver', reflects her love of many kinds of music -- contemporary classical, jazz, New Age, and pop -- and brings them together for piano music lovers in an elegant creation. Since her early days as a pianist in an executive hotel lobby, Christine has always been interested in making the piano really 'talk' in as many moods as possible -- from the romantic, to the laughing happy, to the melancholy. 'Silhouette' is the end result. Her inspiration is drawn from reactions to a wide range of everyday events, and a desire to use the colors of the piano in an emotionally engaging way. Audiences have called her music 'ethereal', 'fun', and 'clever'...all adjectives which Christine loves to hear. 'I enjoy having something for everybody in my piano performances,' she says. 'Just when you think I am moving even further in one direction, I love to put in a twist and even start tapping the foot!' This past summer, Christine was inducted into the National League of American Pen Women, an historic organization whose criteria for membership includes being published at least three times by a recognized publisher. (Christine is published by Neil A. Kjos Music Company.) In November, she won first place in the Florida League of American Pen Women's Music Composer's Competition with her piano piece, 'Twilight Interlude', which is included in 'Silhouette Of Silver.' Christine plans a fall 2010 regional tour, and invites all of her listeners to check her website in the coming months for dates and information.
