Wait for Me
Chris is a singer/songwriter from the great state of California, and currently resides in West Jordan, Utah with his wife and four children. He began his songwriting career in the fourth grade when his mother bought him a clarinet. He taught himself to play the guitar at the age of fourteen and has been writing songs regularly ever since. Chris has a passion for performing and enjoys playing his own songs, along with his favorite covers, in front of pretty much anyone. While in high school, he worked as an entertainer for hire, singing for weddings, birthdays, church functions, anniversaries, and Christmas parties. Chris received a BA in music from Brigham Young University and currently teaches music full-time at a private school for troubled youth. He enjoys working with teenagers and believes that teaching music to kids is one of the most rewarding of life's experiences. Still, his first passion is in writing, recording, and performing his own songs, and he is committed to writing songs that sound great, that are clean, and that reflect his sensitivity, sense of humor, and ability to write in various genres. He continues to play at local venues including, restaurants, schools, and fundraisers, but would like to take his show to other states. He recently won a talent show at Salt Lake Community College with his song, "Forever with her." He also was one of three finalists in the Latin song category of the nationwide John Lennon Songwriting Contest for "Forever with her." Chris worked for 3 years as a guitar and voice teacher at Park City Arts and Music Conservatory, and for 2 1/2 years as a roaming minstrel at the Mayan Restaurant in Sandy, Utah. He has also taught privately since 2002. Wait for me is Chris' second album.
