Chris Reba is a California-born composer and musician. He is currently faculty member at the University of New Haven in New Haven, CT. Chris has studied composition with Pulitzer Prize winning composer Roger Reynolds as well as Chaya Czernowin, Steven Takasugi, Rand Steiger, Cort Lippe and Jeff Stadelman. He also studied bass with Avant-Garde bass legend Bertram Turetzky. Chris is a founding member of the Open Music Foundation, a New York not-for-profit organization dedicated to the performance, preservation and publication of unconventionally notated musical works. As a bassist he has performed with artists such as Grammy award winning artists Sean and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek, Tracy Chapman guitarist Larry Mitchell and Pinback drummer Chris Prescott.
