Check 12's second CD, entitled 'The Last Run' was written, recorded, and produced entirely by the band. The all-digital recorded CD features both electric and acoustic rock pieces with strong vocal harmonizations. Cleveland's own Check 12 (pronounced Check Twelve) was formed in November 1999 by veterans of the Cleveland music scene. The band focuses on crowd participation and often has it's fans literally dancing on the bar and tables. The band features a wide variety of influences from modern, progressive rock such as Stone Temple Pilots, Collective Soul and Three Doors Down. Check 12's debut CD, entitled NSF, was featured at the Cleveland Music Festival. The band was considered one of the top bands out of the over 200 bands that were involved in the festival and played the showcase event. Check 12 also had the most ticket sales of any band in it's genre for the festival.
