Chata, born in to a large family of professional drummers, musicians, and dancers, has been performing since a young age. His father Tettey Kojo Addy, a much respected composer, drummer, and dancer in Ghana taught him as a boy. 'The Children' is a solo album in the traditional Ghanian style. CHATA ADDY play upbeat West African music from Ghana, blending traditional songs and a contemporary world beat sound. Chata Addy - lead vocalist and song writer uses a variety of instrumentation bringing plenty of energy to the stage. His joy in sharing what he does comes through in his rapport with the audience.
