Roses Are Red
Roses Are Red, is an alternative rock album by members of Charlie Surf Academy, the place where VC learn to sufr, and inspired by the immortal words of Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now, 'Charlie Don't Surf!' 'What a better world it would be if Charlie learns to surf,' (An apocryphal quote by John Lennon on his peace and love tour of the DNang Valley in 1969). 'I agree,' (An apocryphal response by accompanying photographer, Yoko One, accredited with inspiring the artwork for Roses Are Red). No matter what, it's difficult to say who said what since ideas were flying everywhere. Like the Beachboys, the co-conspirators of Charlie Surf Academy have never learned to surf. In fact, founding co-conspirator, Kristjan Olafsson, never returned to the ocean after spending a summer working on a fishing boat off of the coast of Iceland. Roses Are Red is an 8 song creative project, ranging from high energy and inspirational, to bluesy and reflective, to fun and light-hearted, emphasizing visual imagery and hypnotic rhythms, sure to capture the interest of future members of the CHARLIE SURF ACADEMY!
