Young Dudes Rockin' the Blues and more! With Pat Russo on guitars and vocals, the imaginitive songwriting, bass playing and vocals of David Swanson, plus Ed The Hat on drums, Censure & Backfire is a powerful three piece that has been wowing audiences with their own original compositions and interpretations of blues, rock and jazz standards. Formed in June of 2004 by a "bunch of young dudes that love the blues" and drawing on influences that range from The Beatles, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Foo Fighters to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Allman Brothers Band and Joe Bonamassa, as well as the many Blues heroes and jazz masters that preceded them, these Northport, LI high school lads (Class of 2008) are showing audiences that they really know how to "rock the blues! The band's debut CD 'Ignore It Like A Car Alarm' combines all the influences that they have absorbed on 10 original tunes and one classic blues rock cover.
