Carmen Rae is an album evoking real and deep emotions. Carmen Rae chose all the songs on the album to reflect a common theme of our desperate need for Christ. We as Christians sometimes tend to sugar coat things and put ourselves in a protective bubble and not expose ourselves to the world. While this can be good to an extent, I do however see that we isolate ourselves from the lost and the hurting. We also do this in the 'church'. We put on our Sunday best with our church shoes and church face and pretend everything is just perfect. While if we are honest with ourselves and others we are broken and hurting. We live and breathe pain and sorrow cause we are a fallen world but God is bigger that that hurt and pain. We need to be open to 'show ourselves' and heal with others in the same place. The album was produced by Eulises Canada and engineered by Jeff Sandstrom, two very talented men the music industry.
