Carly's musical interest began to peak at an early age, beginning with the local choir. Through this, it didn't take long for Carly to realize her passion was music and ventured off to become a solo artist. Since taking that step forward, Carly has become an accomplished pianist, ensued the art of accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, and has a compelling desire to excel at other musical instruments as well. Carly has become an established singer/entertainer through out her home city of Calgary, singing national anthems at many prestige sporting events. Preforming regularly over the past five years has given her the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Johnny Reid and Emerson Drive, making her ability to entertain crowds of all ages, unquestionable. Influenced by the likes of Taylor Swift, Reba, Patsy Cline, Ella Fitzgerald, Rage Against The Machine and the Beatles, portrays her versatility in genre of music. In 2007, Carly had the honor of winning the Don Weldon Award from the Calgary Stampede Talent Search. This accomplishment sparked her desire to achieve more and headed to the studio in the fall to her first five song demo CD, titled "Start Now". To add to this attribution, Carly co-wrote her first song "Believe Me, I'm Gone" which is on this CD. Carly continues to use her creative desire to succeed and is currently honing her songwriting skills, with plans of writing the majority of songs for her next project. Carly's passion lies within her music, spending numerous hours rehearsing and songwriting. Carly not only has excelled in her music, but academically, and has maintained honor roll status throughout the past three years in school. Carly tells all young people, " It is possible to maintain and succeed at both school and a career". As Carly embanks on her musical journey, many thanks go to family and friends for their support as well as to her many fans that are joining her on her musical journey to the top of Canadian Country Music.
