Where's the Love?
,'Where's the LOVE' asks exactly that question. Taking the listener through a series of events, from the magic of new found idyllic love and it's loss in 'Magic Moments', to a beginning love where the female lover warns,'If you should love me, baby, remember my love is'sweet and holy': Care Your Love, for Love is not to be taken lightly, it must be cherished. True Love is sacred! The rhythm of this song has started many a toe tapping and dancing bodies whirling and cavorting! On to an Oil Rig disaster where not only loved ones are threatened and lost, but whole livelihoods of communities: Do we dare to put human welfare, ecological welfare, and the well-being of tourist communities before profit? Do we have the Love? Does Big Business really care beyond the profit line? We actually hear the Oil refinery character in the sound of the music and the gurgling sound of oceanic water, as it swallows up rigworkers' lives! Next, to a Haitian earthquake disaster that up to now still asks the tearful question, 'Where is the Love?' after our initial compassionate outcry. Indeed, we all have to 'Better Our Life': We can do it right now! We can be'Made Whole', if we have Faith! The empathy is terrific and has moved many to tears, and the effects which create the mass wail of perishing humanity is realistic and utterly moving. But do we really have Love, or are we powered and motivated by Hate?!! as in 'As If She Was His Mother', where hate at a marriage dissolution poisons the ability to recognize or accept the amount of love shared during the experience. CamK says,' Let us Love Truly', whenever we love, let us love in each other the hidden,' sweet, unspoilt spirit' as in the song ' Let Me Love You Truly', which additionally feels that the exploitative mark of Music Business Society is stamped on the sweet unspoilt spirit of the artiste, staining beyond recognition the character and performance potential of the female performer. 'You Were My Beautiful Dreamer' explores the values we might apply to improve the love and humane success in our lives, and is very popular with those who have previewed it. We cannot let the darkness of the world banish the brightness of Love's illumination. This a poetic rap commentary in wonderfully romantic vein, and with beautiful music to match. The final song poses the adequate question:'Where's The Love?' Can we pause and put more compassion into our lives? Do we really care? Rhythm, brass and chorus are the key to the posing of this emphatic question: Where is the LOVE; do we really, really care? The song begins with the sound of footsteps and voices lamenting the absence of love, and after it's message, ends with the sound of forlorn footsteps walking off. A superbly done album in it's commitment to provide an enjoyable listening experience that is dynamic in it's capacity to take you through a musical experience about real human situations, our own and our fellows, leaving us stirred, healed, made more psychologically successful, and able to reap a consequential benefit in our daily lives.
