Self-expression is the purest form of art. For me, my art is all about getting the things that are inside of me, out in the open. I do not censor my thoughts. Lyrically, I say whatever is on my mind or in my heart. I do not always know what it is I am writing lyrically; sometimes I just write what is in my head regardless of whether or not I know what it means. Musically, I do not write songs as much as I let them flow out of me. Whether they are simple or complex, I do not pass judgement; they are what they are. I feel that this, 'method of no method', allows me to create from a deeper level, drawing on not only my conscious thought, but the subconscious as well. When someone listens to this album, they will come to know me, as an artist and as a person. The thoughts expressed in these songs will have something for the listener's head as well as their heart. This work isn't just heard; it's felt. The music is modern, but with an acknowledgement of the importance of what has come before. Most importantly, this album is about the struggle of being human.
