At the age of 19 I played in various bands and jammed with Grover Washington Junior. While travelling in Israel I broke my first bottle neck and learned to play slide guitar. Upon return to the United States lived in Mendocino and played in various bands and moved back to Los Angeles and backed many musicians such as JJ Bad Boy Jones, Keb Mo, Peter Tork, and Chris Penn at Harvelles, The Gas Light and The Mint and other local Los Angeles clubs. In 1990 decided to attend Musician's Institute of Technology where I graduated with Honors. My main teacher was Norman Brown. In 1994, while playing on the Venice Boardwalk, I met film composer Michel Rubini and was hired to play acoustic and electric guitar for the soundtrack of the movie entitled 'RIDE WITH THE WIND.'
