Catch Me with Your Grace
Bruce King is a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter (Christianity Today) and a critically acclaimed New York stage actor (New York Times). Although his first album is in the spiritual genre, he also writes and performs songs in a secular style as well. "I am just doing the art that is in me", says Bruce. Born in Houston, Texas, Bruce has worn many hats over the years. Besides starring in the off-Broadway stage show "Man Enough", Bruce has been a race horse jockey, house painter, caterer, waiter, airline reservation agent, chiropractor, and now a singer/songwriter. Bruce states, "Some might say I have lived an aclectic or even misguided life, but it's got me where I am today - so there it is." '...King sounds a like a more adult contemporary David Wilcox, or Chris Rice with a stronger roots/folk influence, but performed with a prettier voice attuned to inspirational pop. The singer/songwriter is perfectly capable at picking his acoustic guitar accompaniment, occasionally backed by sparse instrumentation that includes piano, cello, and percussion...This is a 'coffeehouse artist,' for sure, but still a good one.'
