Brian Kilcourse has been active in the San Francisco, California musical scene since the early 1970's, when he was part of the power trio Mistress. Brian and his band The Guilty Saints have gigged throughout the U.S. west since 1978. The band features Brian on guitar & vocals, Chris Kilcourse on bass & vocals, Jeff Gillespie on drums, and Bob Littleton on pedal steel guitar. Fellow Bay Area musician John Keisling supplied the piano solo for ''Leave That Boy'. 'Reboot' means 'restarting from the beginning', and that's the spirit that informed the project from it's beginnings in 2008. Brian and the Saints found inspiration in the great popular recordings of the 60's and 70's (when it all started for these boyz). ReBooT was recorded 2008-10 in Walnut Creek, California, at RedHen Studios. All songs were penned by Brian Kilcourse ('Prayer' was co-authored with Mistress bandmate Greg Douglass, and 'Highway 104 (Bad Boy)' was co-authored by Brian and Robert Kilcourse). The album was mastered by Brian's bandmate from the 60's, Paul Bourassa, at Summit Recording in Trabuco Canyon, California. Reboot's front cover is taken from a neglected billboard in the Charlestown Naval Shipyard in Boston, Massachusetts. The advertisement for new working boots provided the spark for the project title - 'Reboot'. Brian has three other albums available on CDBABY: FREE FLYTE (Greg Douglass & Mistress, 1974), MEGATON MELODIES (2000), and UNFINISHED BUSINESS (2005).
