My grandpa passed away when I was in 8th grade, but I remember him as music. He was such a playful, joyful soul, always making people laugh, making beautiful music, and making amazing food. Because of him teaching himself how to play Jazz trumpet, there is a strong musical tradition in my family. Because of him, I decided to study Italian in college to try and understand the culture that managed to produce a man like him. He has been absent for the 2nd half of my life, but he has had such a crucial impact on the roads I choose to walk and my vision of the man I aspire to continually become in my lifetime. This album is a tribute to his memory, and I hope you enjoy it!
