Another Autumn Day
Brandon Lucas is a solo singer/songwriter who lives to see people touched by the music he creates. Though his music can be described as Pop or Adult Contemporary, it contains elements of Jazz, Blues and Jam Rock. For Brandon Lucas improvisation is a lost and dying art that he is boldly trying to bring back to the mainstream. His biggest influences include Jimi Hendrix, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and Pink Floyd but his inspiration also comes from seasoned veterans like Sting for his songwriting abilities and John Scofield for inventive guitar playing. With Brandon Lucas you can always expect a chorus and a hook to die for. Sweet ballads come naturally to him but you can also count on high-energy jams that get the crowd moving. Whether people are dancing or are moved to tears, Brandon Lucas clearly loves the connection that he makes through his music. Originally from New Hampshire he moved to LA in 2003 to pursue a career in music. He played lead guitar in his church worship band and within two years the band were performing two Lucas originals. He attended MI (Musicians Institute) in Hollywood and graduated with an Associates Degree in guitar performance. It was there he honed in on his songwriting skills not to mention his fluency in guitar playing, his vocal chops and his overall understanding of the music business. Brandon Lucas' new four song EP 'Another Autumn Day' was recorded at Liquid Fish Studios and co-produced by owner George Dum. The music is a reflection of what Brandon Lucas loves; you can hear traces of his influences and inspiration. Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues and Classic Rock intermingle and you come to expect not just guitar solos but also organ and piano solos. Pushing the boundaries of Rock and Pop, Brandon Lucas is a force to be reckoned with and an emerging talent to watch in 2008.
