Just before Christmas 2005, I happened into a show by Bouldercrest Singing Group, another local Atlanta band which came highly recommended. Although their sound is not normally my type of music, I was impressed enough to pick up their debut album, Louise. I immediately realized that two things: first, the band recorded very well, which is perhaps not surprising considering that the musicians as well as the producer are long time fixtures of the Atlanta music scene; second and more importantly, I found that the music on Louise formed the near perfect backdrop to the hours of driving through a rolling, Southern landscape as I drove all over rural East Georgia during that holiday season. --evilsponge.org Bouldercrest Singing Group weave memorable tales of lost love and regret seamlessly with world-weary ease. --Foul Country Clever lyrics help elevate the Bouldercrest Singing Group above the level of your everyday twangy roots-rockers. --stomp and stammer.
