Nylon & Nails
Booby Denton, master furniture carver, flintlock rifle maker and guitar builder, has been playing guitar and banjo since he was 10 years old. By the time he was 18, he was playing at the Grand Ole Opry. He rose to national fame in the 1070's when he entertained millions as a member of The Tunemasters on the Tommy Faile television show. Know mostly for his flaming banjo wizardry, he taught himself guitar during the early 1990's. And today, drawing upon an instinctive musical genius that is his alone, he ignites the fretboard with brilliant fingerpicking inspirations ranging from thundering rhythmic thumbstyle to quiet classical melodies. All played with a deft touch on nylon strings using fingernails and a thumb pick. Unable to find guitars that meet his rigorous standards, he builds his own. Amazingly, this is a single track recording with no overdubbing.
