Every Road Leads Me Home
This newest offering, the 2006 release of "Every Road Leads Me Home" is a collage of songs with something to please the most discriminating of musical pallets. Anyone who has longed for the days of listening to memorable melodies and lyrics that are powerful enough to stand alone as art in their own right will enjoy this songwriting journey. From the opening track, "That's My Girl," which sounds like it was written in the golden years of Motown to the hauntingly beautiful James Taylor-esque, "Never Been To Carolina" to the most original approach to a love song you'll possibly ever hear on "The Gospel According To Me", this musical collection is just beginning to reveal what is possible when the love of the "song" is everything. It would be a misnomer to call Bob Jenkins just another "folk" artist. Inspired as a songwriter by the music of such luminaries as James Taylor, Paul Simon, and the Beatles, Bob's songwriting muses have taken diverse paths, embraced diverse themes and have provoked colorful social commentary -- all wrapped-up in words and melodies that could have been written by any of the aforementioned musical giants. Add to this Bob's spiritual perspective as a Christian and you've got the making for, well.....something completely different A resident of Kansas City, Bob is continuing to cultivate a loyal local following as a performer while constantly contributing his well-crafted songs as a staff songwriter for Next Number One Music, an up-and-coming publishing company based in Nashville. You can expect to see some of the tracks on "Every Road" landing on the recordings of some major Christian and Country music artists in the near future....
