Blaming Taylor EP
Blaming Taylor was founded in the summer of 2005 when two old high school mates from Vancouver who had lost touch, hooked up around the campfire and realized they might be on to something. Kris Langemann, who grew up playing the piano in a musical family, had developed his own style and begun writing songs on his acoustic guitar. Peter Orlowski had been playing hand drums in the jungles of Southeast Asia and was looking for a project to join. Listing influences such as Sublime, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Incubus and many others, they soon began playing Kris's original material at clubs and bars around town and receiving an overwhelming response from friends and strangers alike. A little over a year later, with the help of some hired musicians and up-and-coming producing duo Gordini and Jeff Johnson (Jet Black Stare), BT was in some of Vancouver's top studios recording their self-titled EP. By combining Kris's smooth, dynamic vocals, acoustic guitars, and upbeat percussive elements with a lush production style, what emerged was a fresh new sound that can be enjoyed by all, young and old alike. The message is positive and uplifting, the melodies are vibrant and the beats are funky! Blaming Taylor is now looking to the future with a well polished live show, new band members, an ever expanding repertoire, and a commitment to capturing the hearts of music lovers worldwide. The Blaming Taylor EP drops in May 2008, and if initial industry reaction is any indication, success is just around the corner.
