One Man's Treasure Is Another Man's Trash
On one hand, The Black Mollys are good old fashioned American rock 'n rollers with an abundant serving of unshakable hooks, remarkably contagious choruses and soaring harmonies. But dig a little deeper and the Chicago based trio's sound is simultaneously loaded with alternative rock elements of today. It's a carefully crafted brew that's been consistently refined on the road and chiselled across tour dates supporting a wide swath of influential artists as diverse as the Goo Goo Dolls, Cheap Trick and David Lee Roth (just prior to his highly anticipated reunion with Van Halen). The Black Mollys line-up boasts three of the hard rock scene's busiest touring musicians in the form of founding member Tory Stoffregen (Enuff Z'Nuff / Bulletboys), drummer Randi Scott (Enuff Z'Nuff / Supermint) and the UK's Rob Lane (BulletBoys / Teenage Casket Company). Their second album, 2008's 'Ignorance is Bliss' was produced by Michael Wagener (Dokken / Skid Row / Extreme) and mixed at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, England. Fans can expect instantaneous sing-a-longs through tongue-in-cheek tunes like 'Erica' and 'Girlfriend' or the equally compelling pop culture references 'I'm So Ordinary' and 'Hollywood'. It's indeed an ambitious formula that brings an instant escape to life's stresses, strains and seriousness with an unabashedly positive party! Following a recent highly successful UK Tour the band are releasing a compilation CD of their first two albums through UK Label TrashPit Records. The Album features a total of 18 tracks including 3 previously unreleased songs and brand new exclusive artwork.
