The Dutch a capella group the Barbers & Bishops, are known for there wide variety of musical styles, sung by ten unique voices from low basses to high alto's. There wide range of repertoire covers everything from the medival sounds of Dufay and Pérotin to the new styles of Frank Zappa and Radiohead all sung a capella. The many concerts and the variety of repertoire give them the unique ability to be just as comfortable singing on a rock festival as in a Cathedral. Since the group was founded in 1982 they work without a conductor, however the influence of musical director Felix van den Hombergh, can be heard in every piece they sing (not to mention the many arrangements and pieces he composed for the group).
