Product notities

With only three months of guitar lessons under her belt 'No Stress' emerged as her first song. 'Pardon My Passion' is a blending of potent lyrics and conflicting emotions resulting from her oldest daughter Samantha's illness. The soul stirring 'Stop Him' brought Barbara the greatest release and is a stunning example of her growing mastery. This is Samantha's song. Teresa Gaddy learned the gospel song 'Mountain Railway' from a dying friend. Teresa (lead) with Barbara (harmonies) sang it for his funeral. The ringing phrases and singing sounds are strong and uplifting. Other songs include 'All In My Mind,' 'Take My Hand,' Some Day,' 'Forgive Me,' 'I Miss You,' 'Movin' On,' 'She Wants Him (But All I Want Is You), and 'Inspirations.' The entire album is an insightful slice-of-life and displays Barbara Keller's diversity as a writer and performer. Blues fans will recognize the soulfullness behind her singing and songwriting. The next project will include 'Back To You,' 'Kiss Me Again,' 'You Said You Loved Me,' 'No More Tears For You,' and more. Barbara was exposed to the music scene at age six. She came up singing Jesus Loves Me in church, school and community choirs developing an uncanny ear for harmony, and progressing to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in German. Since her first public solo appearance April 2003 at The Six String Cafe, Cary NC, she has established herself by performing at Woodland Terrace Retirement Community, Herb Young Center, UCLA Conference Center, and with the Cigar Store Indians. Barbara recently recorded a Duracell commercial to the tune of 'Rockytop.' The Grass Strings supplied the musical back up. This seasoned bluegrass band and terrific guys agreed to 'do the song for a song.' We anxiously await to see it on television. Most recently, Barbara joined an aspiring Bluegrass band Wade and the Powerfuls, along with Wade Burnett (fiddle), Steve Bambara (mandolin), Lori Brandon (fiddle), and Amber Windham (bass) 'Barbara's lyrical talent is a powerful tool of self expression with which she is able to give a very profound account of her own human experience.' - Jan Johansson teacher, producer, composer, friend.
