From His Heart to Mine to Yours 1
God cares about relationships more than religion, rituals, or anything else under His heavens. Sometimes it's so easy to take people for granted and to be insensitive to their needs. The result leads to disconnectedness. God has taken a confused, hurting, bitter, angry resentful, needy and hard to live with heart like mine, and washed it in the blood of Jesus Christ. His Holy Spirit, who is my guide, lives in me. Now, He is teaching me how to trust, obey, serve and worship Him. The first few songs are testimonial. The change in my heart is real! He is moving me to another level where I long to have a deeper emotional connectedness with my God, my brothers and my sisters. The next couple of songs talk about God's love in action. Love is not an option. We are commanded to love one another. The kind of love that God is talking about is active. God demonstrated His love in action when He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ who shed His precious blood on a cursed tree for us. Now, He commands us to live out His selfless love by responding lovingly to others. In I John, we read "If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him that he who loves God must love his brother also." (I John 4:20, 21) The inspired words from this CD seek to engage the human thoughts and emotions, with intent to bring God's children together, with a sincere love and affection for humanity. There is truly a deep need, a deep desire for emotional connectedness that brings about a sense of security, harmony and, well-being. My prayer is that God's Holy Spirit who lives in us continues guide us in God's truth, and that He would keep our hearts open and willing to express this truth through practical love toward one another. May your hearts be touched, transformed, strengthened and connected to God and to one another in the bond of God's love and care. As we consider our brother's feelings and our sister's hearts, it will bring us in a healthy wholesome connectedness. There is strength in unity. God did not make us to survive alone.
