Baker London's 'Margeaux' was recorded over nine months in an acrylics factory with no heat, shower, or kitchen in North Minneapolis. Ambitious and concise, the album captures a feeling of hopeful desolation. With bandmembers strewn across the country, and the early death of founding member Trevor Grimm, 'Margeaux' is carefully sewn together into an obviously cared for package. Each Baker London record seems to have a different sound, and this record acts as a culmination. With twenty one tracks in all, the variety of song structure and instrumental textures is prolific. A unique and creative rock and roll record, and a must-have for any Baker London fan.
