Founded in 1970, The Bad Habit Axe Company has been making music on and off for over 30 years - music that is at times ethereal, raucous, rockin', country, folk, - you get the idea. Weather it's cannonballing down the 'dirty side' on I-95 or singing about the untimely demise of Mr. Goodtimes on The Ballad of PC Goodtimes, the music is always heartfelt and just plain enjoyable. The Bad Habit Axe Company is comprised of two brothers: Dan 'Nails' & Michael 'Thumbless' Blaisdell. Included on this CD are friends made along the journey of these 30 years. Friends like Neal D. Bluesman, who regularly appears with The Joe King Smokers blues band and Pete 'Stub' Graziano. I met Pete way back in 1969 on a snowy road in upstate New York - he was hitchin' a ride & I picked him up. Little did I know we'd be working together 3 decades later! Also included on Axiomatic are the mellow guitar riffs of Sam Stephens and the sometimes delicate, sometimes raw guitar work of John Dellinger. The Bad Habit Axe Company has played venues as diverse as a coffee house in Greenwich Village, various places in Alaska and North Carolina and have had fun in most all of them. Through Dan's songwriting (he wrote all the songs on Axiomatic) together with the musicianship of all concerned, that fun comes right through to the listener.
