The new album Dive, by Backup Johnny, is nothing like their first album Heartaches And Hangovers. First off, they have broken off from the character Johnny Ray that was the main idea around the first album and the band itself. You can hear maturity in the new songs with a more experienced sense of song writing then the first album. The album was recorded at B2 Studios, the same as Heartaches And Hangovers, but sent up to Fresno, CA to be mixed and mastered by Joel Piper, instead of being completed at B2. This was to achieve a different overall sound then the first album and to keep their music growing and fans on edge for something new. You are sure to enjoy this album and will find the hardest thing about it will be deciding your favorite song. Dive consists of 5 tracks that will get you singing and moving to the beat, whether it's up or down!
