Live at Fed Square
In October 2010, Melbourne indie folk/rock band Autumn Gray teamed with 32 piece classical ensemble Orchestre Nouveau to deliver a packed-house performance of their debut album 'The Diary of a Falling Man' at the BMW Edge auditorium, Federation Square in Melbourne Australia. This project saw a harmonious marriage of the DIY aesthetic of Melbourne's indie rock scene with the training, discipline and emotive power of classical music. About the artists: Autumn Gray have developed a devoted fan-base over the past 18 months, releasing their debut album The Diary of a Falling Man in July 2010, and follow up EP and film clip Love Handles in January 2011. These releases were supported by an extensive live campaign of over 30 shows to more than 1200 people throughout Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane. Orchestre Nouveau is the pioneering proponent of classical/contemporary collaborations in Melbourne, supporting rock, pop & metal acts in an amalgamation of genres. The orchestra is headed by conductor Zach Tay.
