As Sick As Us
Hey everyone! We're forging a new path on the global metal stage and we want to take you with us! Our songs have something for all including everything from hard rock to death metal flowing through them. Like stranded rope we twist into our music influences from many genres, both old and new, to form a progressive sound like no other! The group was formed by brothers Zachary and Zane Oskins in early 2008. We invited Jeff bean and Jake Meade to join on lead and rhythm guitars and recently asked Matt to play bass. The band started like most do- a group of young friends with a ton of energy, drums, guitars, and of course... a garage. We're driven musicians wanting one thing - to create quality sounding music that moves people on a base level - we call it 'Metal for the soul'... Our self titled CD is the bands first and was released in October 2009 after being recorded at Deaf Ear Productions in North Carolina by producer Billy Seals. Zane's dead-on drumbeats throw you into a rhythmic space... and then chains you there! Jeff & Jake's guitar play is so tight and seamless you can't tell who's doing what! For a low end like no other Matt's bass pushes you back on your heels and can jump-starts a flat line cardiac arrest. To top the whole damn thing off like a cherry on ice cream Zack's vocals will rattle you with bottom-of-the-ocean growls that accelerate up to the thin vapors of the stratosphere... The group has been grabbing a lot of attention playing at premier venues such as The Orange Peel, Tremont Music Hall, The Boiler Room, Ground Zero, The New Brookland Tavern, Headliners, Greene Street Club, The Handlebar, The Garage At Biltmore, and a host of others across the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern region. Our music attracts a large age span of people who like a wide spread of genres. Our songs invoke a host of reactions from crowds- everything from mosh-pits to people turning their heads with wide eyes and big grins on their faces. The reaction from the crowds are enthusiastic (understatement here to say the least) spontaneous & sincere - And we thank all of you for that - It means we're doing our jobs right! Try us out... You'll like it too!
