The Are We There Yet project was originally conceived in 1995 by John McLeod. It was the dawn of mp3's and the digital age of music when John realised after a lifetime of playing in and out of bands in Europe, North America and the UK, he had built up a collection of musical interludes which he wanted to record. John wrote, performed, produced and uploaded a number of New Age compositions merging New Age and Jazz into a 'New Age Fusion'. In the words of one fan, 'AWTY has become a leader in Iconoclasts whose ideas have become legendary in the New Age Fusion genre'. However one by one, the major free digital music sites in the USA and Germany disappeared, having been replaced with paid download sites. Now over five years later, works from the AWTY project are being released digitally re-mastered by 'Woodyew Records'. The first release is 'Drastic', a CD album containing 'A Drastic Thought' thought to be the first track of a the new genre 'New Age Fusion' by music critics. A further CD concept album 'Geese Whistle' is on release this month (January 2007) and John's current work in progress is now pencilled for release during the Fall of 2007.
