Product notities

Originally planned as an EP / Single for the song "Little Things" we decided to expand the project and include the many experiments the band tried with several of the songs from the album "Damage"and include some alternate material from our previous albums. The album starts out with "The Bolt Who Screwed Christmas - Intro". Originally titled "God's Revenge" on the album "No Waves in Hell", this remix is presented as heard in the award winning animated short film "The Bolt Who Screwed Christmas (2010)" by Anti-M founding member John "Wedge" Wardlaw. Up next is the Evanescence / Lacuna Coil influenced "Damage". This version features an alternate vocal melody and slightly different drum tracks by drummer Derek Poultney. This is followed by the music video remix of "Let U In". The next song is the extended and remixed version of "Rage". Nearly one minute longer than the version featured on "Damage" this version includes live drums, choir instead of strings and heavily computer processed vocals. It's a bit harder and darker than the original. Five versions of "Little Things" are then presented in the order in which they were originally created. The original rock demo in which Barbara Moseley plays all the instruments is followed by the acoustic guitar and piano demos. Then the song took that turn that made it an Anti-M song with the first Wedge demo mix that also features some hard guitar by Jon Moseley that was left off the Damage album. The final version of "Little Things" is featured on "Damage" but just before the album was complete Ruston Slager remixed the song one last time. This is a beautiful ballad version of the song but not quite dark enough to be included on "Damage". Wedge spent weeks translating "Rose Of Love" into German and then attempting to redo that song al la Rammstein. German was a bit too much to master on short notice so the vocals were reprocessed and live electronic kit drums were added by Derek Poultney and the final remix is featured here. Kind of a Dark Dance Track. Damage in the Dream is presented here as more of a Darkwave ambient mix. With most of the guitar and organ removed and replaced by keyboard textures by Wedge this version features more emphasis on Barbara's vocals. Influenced by The Gathering, Within Temptation and Evanescence, this mix is a personal favorite of Wedge who co-wrote the song with Barbara Moseley. Finishing up the material from "Damage" are the early demo of "Dreaming in Metaphor" featuring some free form guitar by the bands friend Tone on guitar. This is followed by the Jon Moseley untitled groove that never became a full song. Two tracks from Positively Negative follow. The music video mix of "Delusions" and the full saxophone demo version of "Why". The album closes out with the unreleased track by "The Void" from the album "No Waves in Hell". This Mark Rumer penned track was left off the album due to the limitations of CDs at the time. If NWIH were ever re-released it could include the full length version of "The Sensory Overload Chamber" (now featured on It H-Hurts) as well as "The Void". These remixes and demos are included here, warts and all. They may not be perfect but they represent different aspects of what the band was trying to accomplish during the recording and mixing process.
