Place Called Worship
Angelle Jonay Zachery is a fresh new presence on the professional music scene, but she has been singing publicly since the age of eight. Growing up listening to the jazz greats--Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaugh, Etta James and the gospel icons CeCe Winans, Kim Burrell, Clark Sisters, Tye Tribbett, etc., she has incorporated the flavor of those who have impacted her life and created her own unique style. Her musical style and free flowing songs have captured the attention of all ages as she sang in churches, conferences as well as going to youth in correctional facilities, schools, etc. Her lyrics have been born from her own experiences, meditation and prayer time, and spending time in various community outreach endeavors. Angelle is a nurse by profession, and has used her musical abilities in many instances to bless her patients and families. This debut album is a blend of music to showcase her multifaceted style and give her the opportunity to 'give something back' to people of all ages and musical genres. From the elderly sick patient being comforted to her singing 'Stay Forever' and to the hundreds of youth that rocked with her in an auditorium singing 'On High', all will enjoy listening to Angelle.
