Thanks to David Rogers (DJ Meech!) for your tireless commitment and for lending your considerable and varied talents to make this project possible. Thanks also to the gifted musicians and to the choir at Hope. What a joy it's been to serve with you! This album is dedicated to the people of Hope. Bio Andy Milligan grew up on the edge of Appalachia in Greenville, South Carolina. Like most kids his age, his days revolved around school, baseball, soccer, riding bikes, playing in the creek, camping and building forts in the woods. Andy grew up in church as the son of a music minister and sang in church for the first time at the age of 4. Andy recalls, 'Music is something that has always moved me even as a child." By the time he was 12, music and singing was at the top of the list of things he loved to do. Andy's family moved to Florida when he was 14. It was there he met his wife Amy for the first time. Andy studied music at Palm Beach Atlantic University. While he was there he served at First Baptist Church West Palm Beach as a soloist, and director of their college worship ministry. Andy and Amy married in December of 1995 and they both graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic in 1996. 4 weeks after graduation and 6 months after they married, they moved to New York City, where Andy studied Voice at The Juilliard School and graduated with a Masters Degree in 1999. While in New York City, Andy and Amy were members of the Brooklyn Tabernacle where they served as lay ministers and members of the Grammy-Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Andy also served as a soloist and member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers. While with the Singers, Andy traveled and ministered all over the United States and Jamaica. Andy can be heard as the soloist on "God of All gods" featured on The Brooklyn Tabernacle's Grammy-winning 1999 album "High and Lifted Up." In 2002, 8 weeks after the birth of their first daughter Olivia, Andy and Amy moved from New York City to Las Vegas Nevada, where Andy served as the Associate Pastor and Creative Arts Director at Sonrise Family Church. In 2005 Andy and Amy began serving as lay ministers at Hope Baptist Church in Las Vegas. In 2006 they welcomed their second daughter, Audrey. Andy served as a soloist and choir member at Hope Baptist Church and began to develop Hope's strategic missions partnerships in Africa. Near the end of 2008 Andy and Amy began a nutrition program in Africa to manufacture Ready to Use Therapeutic Foods specifically designed for malnourished children. In 2011 the Milligans moved from Las Vegas to South Africa as Hope missionaries serving with Operation Mobilization. Their vision is to design and deliver sustainable business models that bless communities and the people who serve them. Their mission is to feed the hungry, nourish the sick, speak for those with no voice, and to live generously. It's been a winding road, from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains through Florida, New York City, Las Vegas, and now southern Africa. Andy's had a few different jobs and careers, a pastor, a trainer for a Swiss investment bank, a developer and Worldwide Product Marketing Manager for IBM. And most recently a social entrepreneur. Through it all Faith, family, and music have been the firm foundations of a journey through life that has included a series of extraordinary adventures. Andy and Amy have been married for 15 years. They live and work in Pretoria South Africa, with their daughters, Olivia, 9, and Audrey, 5. In his free time, Andy enjoys discovering new places and meeting new friends, classic cars and motorcycling, especially when any of those things involve time spent with his wife and girls.
