Andrea Marie & the Magnolia Band Andrea Marie Campise has loved singing and performing since childhood. "I remember as a little girl my dad used to have Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson tapes in his truck, I would listen to them over and over singing along and dreaming "Someday" that would be me\'. At age 11 Andreas family settled in Spicewood, Texas just down the road from where one of her biggest idols Willie Nelson lives and records. Growing up in the hill country, Andrea Marie sang in high school musicals and choir, studied piano, and was always listening to any music she could. She cites Patsy Cline, James Taylor, Otis Redding and the Beatles as the early musical influences that helped her develop a vocal style all her own. Starting as a duo about five years ago, Andrea Marie and guitarist John Fink performed at virtually every open mic in Austin and the hill country. She began to build a following and started adding musicians, including the legendary Price Porter on pedal steel. Andrea continued to play better venues and ultimately recorded her current CD "Someday" in 2007. Andrea has evolved as an artist and a songwriter. Known as one of the hardest-working artists in the state, she has shared bills with Freddy Powers, The Bellamy Brothers, Dave Mason, Ray Wiley Hubbard, The Troubadillos and Rusty Weir, to name a few. \'I love evoking memories and emotions with my music, whether they be happy or sad,\' she says. \'People relate music and lyrics to their own lives and personal experiences -- each time I get on stage and sing I feel privileged that I can do that for people.\'
