With a background in classical piano, California harpist, Amy Krupski, first studied on the concert pedal harp in 1980 and later added lever harps to her collection of instruments to accommodate her broad range of musical styles. Throughout her twenty-five years as a performig artist, Amy has played in concerts as a solo harpist and in ensembles with other instrumentalists, singers and storytellers. She also plays at weddings, receptions and other fine events on the Monterey Peninsula and California's central coast. Amy enjoyed playing the concert pedal harp in specialty restaurants, at formal teas and other settings on Celebrity cruise ships in 2007 and 2008 and continues playing for Azamara Club Cruises, traveling to many parts of the world. She continues adding to her wide repertoire of music selection from classical to contemporary; from calypso to Celtic. Amy takes pride in her ability to play by ear, improvising with artful arrangements. Her harp playing, whether live or recorded, is appreciated for masterful technique, heartfelt musicianship and consummate good taste. Her CDs, recorded on the Celtic harp, have continued to sell nationally & internationally since the 1990s. 'Amy Krupski's harp floats on clouds....she is to be counted among the masters of the Celtic harp.' .....Daniel Carter, The Reed and Chanter.
