Piano Noel Classics
Bio: Amy began playing the piano at the age of 5. At a young age, she participated in competitions and also composed various pieces of music. Her mother, Susan, an excellent pianist and teacher, helped guide Amy in her musical endeavors. Amy studied cello, participated in choirs, and even was a varsity cheerleader at Pleasant Grove High School. Her main focus through the years continued to be piano. During the end of her senior year, Amy was fortunate enough to receive scholarship offers to Utah State University and Brigham Young University in piano. She attended Utah State University and studied in the piano program for two-and-a-half years before transferring to Brigham Young University. While there, she studied with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox. Amy also married Steve Hansen in 2005 and they started their family soon after. Amy received her Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance in 2007. She has served in her church as an organist, music chairman, music director, and choir pianist. She currently resides in Utah where she has a private piano studio of 20+ students. She and her husband are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters.
