Amy Dean started singing and writing songs as a young child. Growing up, her gift earned her solo positions in the South Jersey and All State Chorus, as well as in many plays and musicals. As a teenager, Amy seriously began developing her vocal skills. At age 14 she stepped into public ministry with the formation of "The Sounds of Joy Singers", a musical group that included her parents, brother, and friends from high school. After high school, Amy attended the Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences. While at the University, Amy had the honor of singing for Bishop Desmond Tutu. Amy also served as assistant director of Deliverance Evangelistic Church's (Philadelphia) Sunbeam Choir, and director of the 80 voice Willingboro Community Choir (New Jersey). Amy's musical journey continued as an adult, where she earned principal roles in off Broadway productions such as "Ain't Misbehavin", "Raisin in the Sun", "Dreamgirls", "Big River", "Black Nativity", "Lazarus Unstoned", and "Sparkle". She is founder and director of a nonprofit organization entitled 'FAITH IN ACTION! MINISTRIES, INC.'. The nonprofit has seven subunits. One of those subunits is a youth and adult performing arts ministry that has traveled to seven countries abroad. This ministry prefers performing on the streets, in prisons, juvenile detention centers, schools and other venues outside the church and has had opened for gospel greats including Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Ty Tribbett, Richard Smallwood, Vicki Winans, and Karen Clark Sheard. Amy's passion for souls that are hurting and the gift of music has led her to minister healing through song both locally and abroad. Amy tours frequently to Europe, mainly England, Spain, Switzerland and also to West Africa. She is often requested to make numerous appearances a month and has served with Grammy Award Winning Gabriel Hardeman and the Delegation. Amy has a masters degree in business (nonprofit management) and is completing a Ph.D in Public Policy and Administration. She is a youth minister at Agape International Deliverance Worship Center and sings/teaches at various churches and seminars. Although no stranger to recordings, Amy completed her first CD Project in 2007 produced by ErnMill Productions and MaineLine Productions of Philadelphia, PA. Her mission: "To praise and worship the Lord with all that I am and have. To reach the masses through diversity in song, ministry, and the presentation of the Word of God; essentially youth and young adults." Her objective for this project is to market a prosperous music CD that will bring glory to God, heal and change lives, and help build the Kingdom of God financially and through soul winning.
