'Homing Instinct' by underground electro-ensemble All Ordinaries was the first in a series of experimental musical projects by Australian avant garde musicians Marcus Hooper and Richard Lawson. Originally recorded in 1993 and 1994 it was never released to the public due, in part, to the overwhelming cost of producing an independent CD release at the time. Hence this noble project was shelved for more than 15 years, which as Hooper and Lawson are quick to point out, is only what you get for murder in Australia. Combining electronica and meaty rhythms with flavors of jazz, rock and sampling this startling release finally comes to see the light of day in 2011. A much overdue and deserved musical release if ever there was one!
