Reviews THE WIRE The stunning second album from Alf, it's so laid back it's almost horizontal, the dubby beats transporting you far away from Monday mornings at work, to a world where the sunshines endlessly and long cool drinks are free at a poolside bar. SUNDAY TIMES: The Culture With the student body in recess and other minds focused on the holiday season this is traditionally viewed as a bad time to be releasing albums, which is why the big guns hold fire until autumn. The upside of this is that some of the interesting and inventive music that is always out there becomes more visible. Such is the case with Alf. Every week at least a dozen albums arrive vainly trying to do what "Alongside Frank" does.
