Big City Dreamer
Alessandro Bertozzi was born in 1965 in Roncole Verdi di Busseto in the province of Parma, Italy. He became interested in music at an early age, studying theory and playing sax and clarinet in a local orchestra. Fascinated by the art of making stringed instruments, he enrolled in the 'Scuola di Liuteria' in Cremona, graduating as 'Maestro' and constrructing several classical and modern instruments for Italy and abroad. Bertozzi's experience in all phases of musical production has helped to develop his own talent and style as songswriter/soloist. A well-rounded musician with a preference in alto sax (as well as tenor and soprano), he also arranges and produces the music he writes. His first CD of original instrumentals, 'Big City Dreamer', was recorded in Italy. The debut, a refined mixture of funky, jazz, and rock sound with a penchant for strong melody lines and solid rhythms, features the collaboration of several well-known, experienced Italian musicians as Alberto Tafuri, Lorenzo Poli, Enzo Zirilli, Claudio Borrelli, Marco Orsi, Franco Cristaldi e Alberto Venturini.
