"I like to write songs about people, experiences and relationships that are part of our daily lives, and of characters I invent. If I can leave you feeling sad, angry or happy about being alive, I've done a good job." Starting his performing career in the U.S. as a teenager, Alan moved to Canada to continue playing and writing, while he worked in the Toronto music industry. Alan is also a prolific songwriter, and has placed his songs in the worlds of TV commercials, film and with other recording artists. He has performed in North America, New Zealand and Europe. Getting There is Alan's debut CD for Phonic Records, serving as a great introduction to his catchy, upbeat songs, reminiscent of 70's and 80's Classic Rock. Alan continues to write great music, play with his band The Alternators, and work on a variety of projects for Phonic Records. He currently lives in the Nelson area in British Columbia, Canada.
